Christian was born and raised in Turrialba, Costa Rica situated in the Caribbean foothills surrounded with beautiful mountains and volcanoes. At an early age, he became captivated by nature and took special interest in birds and frogs. These interests had him exploring the local towns and environments providing him with an exceptional knowledge of the environments of the Turrialba area.
Caro grew up in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. Although was raised in the city, she found a passion for nature and eventually decided to study Biology. Carolina moved her focus towards conservation and environmental management and is now in graduate school studying Natural Resources Management. Her student research includes work at the La Selva Biological Station with bioluminescent fungi, being a teacher assistant in several Botany courses and an Assistant Editor for a couple of well-known science journals
